As the founder of De Groot Ventures Inc., he combines deep technical expertise with entrepreneurial vision to launch and grow ventures that solve meaningful problems.

Edward began his career at the intersection of media and technology, where he was a founding member of the digital teams at Postmedia (formerly Southam, Hollinger, and Canwest). There, he helped pioneer the organization’s early online publishing efforts, laying the foundation for one of Canada’s largest digital news networks. This early work cemented his passion for building scalable, user-centric digital platforms.

Since then, Edward has led a diverse range of initiatives across the tech and SaaS landscape. He has served as CEO of Relevant Bits, a product-focused digital studio, and CTO of Mango Policy, a Canadian insurtech startup reimagining how brokers and carriers work together. At his core, Edward is a builder—of systems, of companies, and of collaborative teams.

With a background in systems architecture, web technology, content management, e-commerce, analytics, and applied AI, Edward brings a unique blend of strategic insight and hands-on execution to every venture.
